1831

1831 was also inspired by the Model Engineer and bult by Rag Day using a Reliant Robin engine as the motive power. Always “lumpy” in its performance, prone to over-heating and extremely thirsty, it was re-engined by Reg in 1995 with a Honda 2 cylinder GX360 and a Hydrostat drive mechanism. Slight modifications have been made over the years to improve poorly engineered parts but otherwise it has proved a very useful workhorse, as many of the members have found.
